Forget Gravity formed at the start of 2009. They wrote a few originals but didn't take it too seriously. Entering the Smokefree Rockquest 09 for stage experience, they unexpectedly got through to the Christchurch regional finals, and gaining the Peoples Choice Award there. Since then, Forget Gravity have gone from strength to strength, getting second in Zebedees Rapid Storm 09 and still gaining popularity and recognition throughout Christchurch.

The Gimcracks play a wide range of covers from classic rock to modern pop and are constantly adding to their set list to ensure a fresh performance at each and every gig.

While the band is typically a rock band with drums, bass and electric guitars, they prefer classic rock over modern heavy metal. A number of the songs on the set-list are acoustic, allowing for a gradual transition from the more laid back mellow tunes to the full on rock, making them perfect for all types of social events from corporate functions to 21st parties.
